About You
A fun day, nothing dragged as it was kept at a reasonable speed.
The staff were very friendly and made a point of telling us that the day was for us to learn as much as possible.
All questions were answered as quickly as possible by a panel of graduates, and we were guided by the staff members running the day expertly.
The trading games and interview skills gave a lot of insight. The staff gave us tips and hints about interviews and gave us information on how to create a good application
The Company
The day moved smoothly from activity to activity, with as little interruption as possible.
Both the students and staff were friendly and interested. I laughed most of the day.
Expenses, food and drink were all paid along with serious time taken out by graduates to answer questions.
Most of the day was spent describing exactly what the Bank of England does and what working inside it would entail.
They gave us a powerpoint presentation about the culture
The information they gave us did help me decide upon a career
Everything Else
max £35 for expenses which is a good thing
They were plenty of staff and graduates to talk to
There were many graduates present to discuss anything relevant with.
There was mention of corporate days, including tennis matches between senior bank members and world class tennis players. There was also mention of a state-of-the-art sports centre, which employees got access to for only £50-60 a year.
