The Role
extremely friendly place
most were incredibly welcoming and happy to help
there were external links to follow up, I had an assigned counsellor and buddy.
It varied. Although I did get to experience a variety of work, I could have been busier.
I had my own presentation to develop and organise, but most of the tasks I completed were under much higher-up individuals.
I definitely learned more about myself in a business environment, and enhanced my knowledge of tax.
The Company
a smaller office at most, but lunches were organised and everyone was friendly
a great experience - although it was held at a quiet time of year (Summer) when there really wasn't a great deal of work to do.
we had 4 full-days of induction, laptops, allowances, good pay and a fantastic final day organised in London.
Possible job opportunity after a final discussion between partners.
The Culture
everyone made an effort to get on well and events were organised.
Edinburgh is expensive and as I had to commute for over an hour every day, the travel was expensive also.
No idea, didn't go out in Edinburgh, only in Glasgow.
lunches and the occassional dinner.
