    • It was very informative, interactive and comprehensive.

    • Everyone was equally encouraged to contribute and ask any questions.

    • All presenters were more than happy to explain concepts and offer support during exercises.

    • The primary the benefits of this event were gaining knowledge and teamwork experience, but we also learned some important interview/application techniques and skills.

    • Everything ran very smoothly, despite fitting a lot into the day, and still allowed time for networking.

    • All of the presenters were very welcoming and all participants were encouraged to interact with each other, creating a good atmosphere.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • As this was a one-day event, it was mainly to provide information. However we were also given a useful session on employability.

    • The presenters were very open about their experiences of the firm and provided many insights into their individual roles.

    • It was interesting to learn about the culture of the company through the experiences of employees.

    • I really enjoyed the day, and the information was very useful in showing me the full range of opportunities at the firm. It also reinforced my interest in an actuarial career.

    • Travel expenses were covered up to £50.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • At lunch time there was plenty of opportunity to engage with employees at the firm.

    • Again, as it was a one-day event, lunch was a good chance for networking in a relaxed environment.

    • There was some discussion about colleagues getting involved in charity fundraising events.
