About You
Very enjoyable. Friendly staff and the business games were good fun.
We were given talks by managing directors and had opportunities to network with them.
A full timetable was sent to us before the programme began. A conference call was also arranged to talk us through the insight and allow us to have any questions answered.
A good insight into banking. There was also a session about interview skills and an opportunity for advice on how to improve my CV which will be useful for future applications.
The Company
Everything was timetabled accurately and in a logical order.
Icebreakers made us comfortable with the rest of the group and the bowling networking event was good fun. Business games gave us a bit of healthy competition which I enjoyed.
The interview and CV training was useful
Gave us a chance to network with people at different levels within the company so got a feel for the job at all levels. Also had general talks about the different business areas.
Gave a good overview of the different business areas and the staff we got to meet were honest about the job and the lifestyle.
Helped get a good overview of banking in general and a good insight into the specific business areas.
Everything Else
Travel was reimbursed and accommodation and food were provided.
Plenty of opportunities to meet people at different levels. Networking events on both evenings and an opportunity to work shadow a member of your selected business area.
The speed networking event on the first day seemed a little forced but the bowling event on the second evening was a good chance to chat to employees individually.
Difficult due to the busy nature of the work but there was a gym available in the building for employees to use.
A valuable experience.
