The Role
Not only did I learn a lot from my placement, I felt as though it gave me a real insight into what working in HR would be like. It has given me a great deal of experience that will stay with me forever.
My colleagues would always push me to achieve and gave me duties beyond the normal boundaries of a placement student. I finished the placement and I am still in regular contact with the whole team
My manager gave me the support, confidence and knowledge to achieve in the recruitment industry. The guidance my manager gave me has set me up for life and I do not believe I would be in an employable position without her.
I never felt like I was bored or left without any work to do but at the same time I was never stressed with the workload that I was given.
A lot of the jobs that I was given were those that would have been done by the employees already working at the company. I felt like I was given a lot of responsibilities in that respect.
The skills I have learned here are priceless. It has taught me so much about the HR industry standards and what requirements you need for a job like this.
The Company
Easy, relaxed, fun atmosphere. Even heated debates were diplomatic and calm.
Very well, I had lots of training when I first started, with hand over notes and constant support throughout the year.
I had frequent training opportunities, where I got to have time out of the office and go see our agencies and how they operated. I also had personal development training which gave me better working skills
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I would happily return for full employment if I had the opportunity to select a preferable role.
The Culture
Active clubs/societies to suit all tastes.
With the salary it is possible to have a good social life, I haven't saved any money... but have a lot of great memories!
The bars were always buzzing on a friday night, as everyone from other banks/companies came out to start the weekend with a drink.
There were often team nights where we got to try new things.
