About You
Well organise and structured insight. Couldn't ask for anything more.
The firm is not supposed to value you, it is supposed to educate you. They succeeded, I learnt a great deal.
We had work shadowing which was very good guidance for future jobs/divisions.
It was not supposed to help my degree. I study engineering. However I did not expect it too so I have given a reasonable rating for this.
The Company
Far better then other banks I have heard.
For an insight week this was very good. We went to the pub and out for meals after as a cohort. This was something that didnt happen at other banks.
The whole week we were being trained. It must have cost the company a fortune! You can tell that they value the graduates and want them to become the best they can be.
I spoke to over 20 people who work at the bank. I have a very good idea of the work involved in the job and the culture at RBS.
You are networking all the time and asking peoples opinion about what RBS is going through and there thoughts on it. I therefore learnt as much as I could in a week. So i would say it was very successful in doing this.
Very, although I am still not sure banking is for me. I learnt a lot about what working at the firm involves on a day to day basis.
Everything Else
we got accommodation and lunch. (although I am growing and got a bit hungry)
Two days of work shadowing. This involves eight 1.5 hour work shadowing sessions. This is a good length of time to get to know people.
One networking event at the end. This was good for my cohort to have a few beers together however the grads that came to talk to us stayed on there own in the corner sort of thing.
I only found out about a small amount of stuff.
