The Role
Sometimes not much work to do but when I did have work it was interesting
Everyone in this office was really nice and easy to get along with. Good atmosphere in the office with plenty of humour and some social outings
People were happy to help if I needed it
Some days were pretty slow and then some I had a lot going on at once but in the main, an alright level. Never over worked and left on time every day (5pm)
No major responsibility as everything is checked by someone else however did do some research for the team and present in a team meeting
Definately good to get used to working 9-5 having been at uni for two years (tiring). Not much training but I definately understand much more about investments and it is very useful for someone studying economics/finance related degrees
The Company
Very good, all nice fun people. 5-a-side footy each week and sometimes drinks after work.
Nothing is set out in stone and at times you may be short of work and be a bit bored but I imagine it is no worse than any other internship as they cannot give you very technical work to do.
I had one day training at the start which wasn't really that relevant to the work I did. Although people are happy to explain things as you go along.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Don't know yet
The Culture
Irrelevant for me as I was in a regional office however it was a fairly young office with graduates having been taken each of the last few years so people do have nights out.
Much cheaper than living in London plus I was able to live at home.
Liverpool is very good for nightlife as I would of thought anyone applying there would already know
5-a-side footy, social stuff
