The Role
Very interesting and beneficial in the way of enhancing my CV
They were limited as to what they could give me to do so I didnt feel like I was helping them a great deal. But they said tiny things like I was doing helped a great deal as noone else had the time to fit them in. Organising files helped tremendously
My supervisor was off sick for a long period and the others left in charge of me gave me very little to do. I had to make the effort to be given things to do when that should not have been the case
My supervisor was off sick for a long period and the others left in charge of me gave me very little to do so half of the week I was very bored
Not a great deal as I am not trained, but I was able to phone parents and make appointments for them and their child
My CV will look amazing for working in one of the best children's hospitals in the world and my knowledge of mental health has greatly increased, so I would say this work placement has been extremely beneficial to my future
The Company
very boring not much banter going on people seemed too serious about their job. But maybe that's a good thing
My supervisor was ill during the first 3 months of my placement and the others left in charge of me had nothing/set up nothing for me to do, despite me asking repeatedly. I was very disappointed and felt like it was a waste of time
They were all so busy all of the time they kind of forgot about me
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Above 25 days holiday
not very, not enough staff, work load is immense and stressful from what I can see
The Culture
yes theyre all very nice and i get along with them well, i dont see them very often but when i do it brightens the day up a bit
live at home but the travel is expensive. £8 for a return journey, only using the central line!
a million places to go, for every variety, just really expensive
a couple film nights, work do's
