The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my placement.
I always felt very valued by the team, there was always support available when I need it and my manager especially was extremely dedicated to giving me the best of my experience.
Due to my position I reported directly to my manager. Otherwise, the rest of management were always there for support if I needed it. They were always approachable.
We were always very busy, but then thats the way I like to work. It's no fun if you've not constantly got something to do.
During my placement I was given a lot of responsibility, I was given the chance to run my own event and I was able to assit on many other both in house and during the actual event. I
I learnt a great deal from my placement, both about my skills and myself. I grew considerably in confidence and I now know what I am capable of and will be able to transfer many skills to my final year, such as organisation, communication and most importantly; confidence.
The Company
Our department was very close and we were constantly joking, talking and having lots of fun everyday!
I feel that overall it was very good. Any problems or issues were easily dealt with.
Not only did I learn a lot about the business and the roles of different people but I also attended several courses for different pieces of software, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Projector 3 (a planning model tool) which were very interesting and useful.

As I had such a wonderful time on my placement I would love to get a job back there once I have finished at University. I have been contacted by a member of the Human Resources Team to say they wish to keep in contact with me to give me information on future employment opportunities with them. My details were also placed onto their talent system which is specifically for students and temporary personnel whom they wish to work with again in the future.
The Culture
The placement students organised several social events together throughout the year, especially due to the fact that most of them lived together in flats.
I lived with my parents for the placement year so it was not very expensive for living costs, but as far as I am aware the socialising is generally good value for money.
I did not really experience the nightlife but there are numerous pubs and clubs and other things to do in Milton Keynes.
I played football weekly and also had the chance to go on many away days with the finance team, which involved going to Germany to see the Audi Factory.
