About You
I thought the day was very interesting but perhaps they tried to fit too much all into one day.
The company certainly put a lot of effort into the day which made us feel wanted.
It was very useful especially the interview help session at the end.
The Company
Very well structured
Interesting but there were perhaps too many powerpoints which by the end of the day became a bit dull
Very little as it was just an insight day so I wan't really expecting them to.
We heard from all different sections in the company which meant we got a fairly good idea of what it would be like to have a full-time role, although we didn't get any hands-on experience.
I learnt a lot about the company's culture as some of the employees came down to speak to us at lunchtime. We also had a session about how the company helps minorities which was also very helpful in understanding the culture.
it was quite useful as I found out about different parts of the area I'm interested in which I never knew existed.
Everything Else
At lunchtime some of the employees came to talk to us and there were also employees to help us when we played our business games.
There were very little social event opportunities but as this was only a one day event that's to be expected.
We heard about all the sports activities that employees get involved with and also the ways they raise money for charity.
I think anyone thinking of applying for actuarial consulting or investment consulting should go on a day like this, as it doesn't take much time and you really get a feel for what the company is like and a better understanding of what the job entails.
