About You
The insight into HSBC was great. The programme focuses on insights into Global Banking and Markets Division.
We were valued by the firm. They gave us lots of presentations, various activities (such as trading games, business case studies) and even an extensive tour of the trading floor. The experience was brilliant !
Lots of support throughout the spring insight programme. There were panels formed by recent graduates who gave us a good insight into the division - Global banking and markets.
Learn a lot about the banking and finance sector, and learn to integrate skills that I could apply in these sectors. I would say it was very useful
The Company
We always things to do. It was a 3 days residential spring week and it was welly time-tabled.
I find it a very friendly atmosphere, competition was friendly and other spring interns were very nice.
A lot of networking opportunities. HSBC made us feel how much they will valued us potential employees. Great firm.
Certainly opened up my knowledge towards banking and finance. I thought it was really a great opportunity for one to learn about the industry.
We learn a lot about the company core values and the staffs also emphaize a lot about the work ethic at HSBC.
It was very helpful. It helped me to understand a lot about the roles and responsibilities of the employees in each division and it has certainly helped me in deciding my future career path.
Everything Else
All expenses were reimbursed, including travel and accommodation.
Plenty of networking opportunities. Staffs were very welcoming and always willing to offer a helping hand if you would like to learn more.
The dinner was great. They try to make the setting less informal so we could talk to the graduates and ask them questions about the industry, firm and things they do outside work.
They have a lot of informal social events for employees to interact and know one other, highly dependent on the department. But opportunities are there ....
If you have the interest in banking / finance, this is a good opportunity for you to discover and learn more about the firm and industry. Should definitely apply for it !!
