The Role
I have never had a full time job so i found the days quite long. However, the work i was given was really interesting, the people were great fun, and the scheme gave me a really good insight to the company and type of work they carried out.
Everyone was really accommodating and explained new theories at my level.
People explained things very clearly and made it clear that they were available to ask if i didn't understand anything.
I pretty much always had work or something that i could be getting on with, but never was under pressure to get things done by a deadline.
I was given tasks to carry out but someone else would check what i had done and go through any changes that they had made (this was to be expected!)
The scheme was more of an insight to the business and work they carried out rather than a training experience. My course is completely unrelated to the work i carried out, however, presentation practice will be useful.
The Company
People generally tended tp have fun outside the office at lunches etc rather than in the office.
Everything was faultlessly organised.
The company definitely didn't have a problem with spending time or money on me, i didn't feel like a hindrance at all.

The Culture
We met up every lunchtime and went out every friday for drinks. There were also other social events organised.
The area was priced like an average city-there are cheap and expensive places available to visit.
The office is next to Broad Street, the main nightlife street in the whole of Birmingham! We are also in Brindleyplace which is full of upmarket places to eat and drink, with live music most days.
I played in a netball tournament for the company. There were also external bbqs arranged.
