About You
The day was very interesting and it was good to be able to speak to senior managers as well as current participants in the grad scheme.
The HR department made us feel comfortable and encouraged us to apply for future vacancies.
Some useful help with assessment centre group exercises, and general application tips.
Assessment centre workshop will be useful in future.
The Company
Very well structured, ran really smoothly. We always knew what we were meant to be doing.
Some of the participants did not seem too interested in the job but other than that the atmosphere created by Lloyds was great.
Invested a lot of time, money and effort, especially considering that we don't have jobs with them/ aren't guaranteed to apply.
I feel I know exactly what a graduate role would be like.
Clearly and concisely explained the culture and how we'd fit in. We learned the importance of placing an emphasis on the customer within finance.
It was really useful. We were informed about how the graduate role involves moving around the country in six month rotations.
Everything Else
Also snacks were provided throughout the day and an incredible lunch spread. I was reimbursed really promptly, by cheque. I was apply to apply to have expenses reimbursed before the event happened, after I had received my train booking confirmation.
Networking with current graduates took place in the second half of the day. This offered us the opportunity to find out more about what different departments do and what the application process was like for them.
Obviously with this being a one day opportunity we didn't do much- but there was time to talk to other participants.
Some mention of social lives and charity work in work time- would have liked more about volunteering.
This provided not only a great insight to the company, but a good explanation of what various corporate finance roles could entail.
