The Role
Its been so far - the intern community has a real voice especially at the head office
Everyone is so friendly! Its a very open working environment - I as an intern could be sitting next to the UK&I MD for example
Managers were very supportive - mine wasn't based in the same location but still felt well supported.
There were phases of busy periods and less busy periods - I would say overall there was a steady workload
I couldn't believe the amount of responsibility I was given - its scary but great!
Hopefully my placement has put me a foot forward for going forward with my degree and in my career
The Company
There was always something going on in the office!
My year was very good - however recruiting to replace my role has been poor this year.
My role personally has a little less training than some of the others but I still did some!
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare from home
I think if the right role came available I would definitely take it up - HP is a good org to work for.
The Culture
There are about 60 interns - so a massive community
Not bad - Reading is a student town so there were student offers in restaurants and nights out we could use
quite a few big clubs and bars in Reading!
We did lots of volunteering activities
