The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement and all the skills I gained from it.
People here are really friendly and always happy to help.
Not only do you have your manager for support, but also a placement mentor which I really helped me make this placement my own.
It was usually very balances but occasionally got very busy.
My role itself was quite routine and I would say I had little responsibility- however that is the nature of my role. Outside this, however, I did take on quite a lot of responsibility working with other areas.
Definitely skills for life.
The Company
Similar to other work places- not very lively but not dull- just a relaxed working environment.
Having the previous intern guide you for the first few weeks makes the transition so much easier.
I was taken to a conference in Arizona where I was really treated as permanent part of the team. HP even paid for my Chartered Institute of Marketers membership and there was a lot of training courses you could take.

Working from home
I would love to come back in the future- but
The Culture
Not really in the Bristol office.
It's on par with most other southern cities- maybe just a little bit higher.
I really wouldn't know... But having 2 universities means there's always a lively nightlife in Bristol.
Bristol does offer a lot of opportunities from volunteering to classes of every kind. Whatever you're interested in, there's something available. Plus UWE is really close by and they offer lots of classes/ societies.
