The Role
I really enjoyed my placement.
The amount that the Account Managers relied on me for certain tasks was good and they were always greatful when I helped them out.
My manager was always there over email.
I went from being extremely quiet at the start of my internship to crazy busy by the time i finished. I definitely preferred being busier!
I was amazed by how much responsibility was passed on to me.
The skills I have learnt whilst at HP will definitely assist me in the future of my studies and also in my future career.
The Company
Working on the Sales Floor at HP is great as it is always pretty busy with lots of people to chat with and plenty of networking opportunities.
The intern scheme at HP is great. From when they organise for you all to stay in Reading Uni Halls, onwards!
There were many opportunities to undertake traning whilst on placement and experience different areas of the company.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Future Employment prospects within HP are definitely looking good!
The Culture
The intern community was great, especially when i relocated so far for the job!
Obviously as Reading is quite close to London it wasn't very cheap but the amount of things to do was great. As going into london was only £15 return with a railcard!
The nightlife in the Reading area is pretty good! Night outs depend on the people you're with though and with the fellow interns it's great!
WIthin the intern community there were many socials set up.
