The Role
Was a great insight into working at BT. I was able to understand a lot more about the products they worked on and the opportunities available once you are in the company.
You were treated like you were a full time employee, given lots of responsibility and gave presentations to other members of staff and clients.
We were assigned to graduate employees who specialised in the area we were working on. We had regular contact with them and they were always available to help us when we needed it.
There was always work to be done trying to achieve a goal by the end of the 12 weeks. The goal was usually pretty ambitious in the 12 week period so it drove you to work hard each day.
The work was important and was taken on after we finished and we were made aware of what the product would be used for and who by.
I learnt so much in the 12 week period i was there. Completely different experience to university life and would recommend it to anyone.
The Company
Friendly, motivating and helpful.
There was some initial hitches when starting and finishing but ran well otherwise.
They offered us many opportunities to try new things and learn about new areas.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Applied for a Graduate job. Hope I will get that.
The Culture
The newly started graduates were always organising events for us.
Reasonable, substantially cheaper than London although not difficult.
Ipswich is not the liveliest of towns.
There were some clubs within Adastral Park but we weren't encouraged that much to ge involved.
