About You
The insight day with Lloyds Banking Group was a very enjoyable, informative and inspiring experience.
During the insight day, I felt that the company genuinely cared about our career development.
We received unrivalled levels of development guidance and support. I found the inspiring talk by a Pensions Manager especially especially effective in delivering guidance.
I feel I now have a much clearer career goal. Also, I have been made aware of the skills which I can develop in order to help me succeed in this industry.
The Company
The day followed a tight agenda which was good because there was lots to fit in.
The atmosphere was surprisingly laid back. I was expecting it to be a little tense, especially during the practice group activity as everyone is keen to make a good impression. However the entire day was pretty casual.
We were informed about the key skills needed to be successful within the company. Also, we took part in an practice group exercise which helped us gain skills and highlight Ways that we could improve.
This is something which is difficult to deliver during a single day. However, Lloyds Banking Group did a fantastic job.
By networking with people on he graduate scheme, it was possible to gain an accurate understanding of the culture at Lloyds.
The main thing I gained from the insight day was clarification of my future career path.
Everything Else
We were reimbursed for out travel expenses. n addition to this, they arranged taxis to various train stations.
There were many opportunities to network with other employees. There was a speed-networking session with recent graduates and there was the opportunity to speak to others during lunch.
These were extremely useful as it was possible to ask questions about the company which may have seemed out of place being asked in front of the entire group.
While speaking to recent graduates, we were able to find out about the culture outside of the office.
I would not hesitate in recommending this experience to a friend who is considering a career anywhere in the industry.
