The Role
Everyone that I've worked with has been friendly. I have been given lots of tasks to undertake which shows me that they think I'm doing something right.
I probably had one of the better managers that would take on placement students. She was very knowledgeable on all the systems we used and also has had a few years experience with placement students.
Some days can go quite slowly and others will be very busy but that's just work I guess.
At the start of my placement it was more about learning all my files and the systems. But after about 5 months or so I've been given a lot more work to undertake and hosted calls about work that I'm doing as well as systems that I've worked on.
Developed my excel skills a lot as well as VBA. IBM run skills workshops which are also useful if you want to get some assisted learning.
The Company
In my office there were quite a few placement students which was really good. This creates a great atmosphere.

The Culture
All the students that I've met are great.
I work in London which is quite expensive but not so much that you can't survive.
Central London is great.
IBM promote external activities and have a database dedicated to such opportunities.
