The Role
Really helpful and did not push me into one service line, the doors were left open and everyone in the firm is happy to talk to you about what they do.
Peaks and Troughs, some days I would work from 8am till 7:30pm, however other days I was in the office 9-5 but generally kept busy during working hours.
Doing similar work to what graduates would do, this work was often presented to senior clients, I also got the chance to have meeting and discuss our findings with senior staff in asset management firms.
Skills were learnt on the job, as it is a summer placement there is no time to teach you at a seperate time, I believe however that the skills i have picked up will go on with me for the rest of my career.
The Company
Everyone is very friendly and works well. The office is open plan and you can be sat next to a partner in the service line. Due to the nature of advisory work, most of the time you are not in the office but instead at client site!
Really well organised, no hick ups at all and problems were solved in a timely manor. We had most of our time booked up to clients before we arrived and the induction week was great fun.
We all got a day to shadow the a partner which was a great learning experience. However due to the nature of the summer internship we did not recieve any training. Career Counsellors do guide you to gain the most out of your time at EY.

Great fun, went out several times a week with the other interns, and at the end of it all we went to the Waldorf Hotel for a big black tie event! London is a great city to go party in. We also had several department drinks which were fun.
London is always going to be fairly expensive. It's knowing where to go which is the trick. Some great website on the internet to help with this.
Really good fun and a great vibe around the place. Went out across london, from south london, central london to west london!
Very few, but again as summer interns this is not really to be expected.
