The Role
I really enjoyed my placement year at IBM, great experience, great company and even better people!
I was highly valued within my team and was treated equally to graduates and other employees.
Having a personal development manager allowed me to grow on a personal level whilst my task manager allowed me to grow my business skills. Interlinking both led to a great feedback system that really helped me to improve as an individual.
Quite busy, but better to be busy than bored! I enjoyed this aspect of my role.
Same responsibility as other employees, treated equally.
As a result of my placement I have gained a job in my desired career path, so this placement as provided me with an anchor to my CV.
The Company
On a client site most of the time so it varied, but a positive atmosphere none the less.
Very well set up, no issues felt during the year.
Regular meetings, seminars and opportunities to learn were available for me to attend.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Working from home
Very high having proved myself during the placement I feel confident that I could land a job with IBM if I chose to return.
The Culture
Being based up North was great!
Lots of interns at my location so nights out were amazing!
Too many opportunities to remember/count (if only there were more hours in a day)
