The Role
I was in a brilliant hard working environment, where everyone I came across was extremely friendly
Frequently given gestures of gratitude and rewarded
When I began my placement I was unaware of many of the processes, supervisors sat with me and went through each process until I became competent
My workload is flexible, so I can be extremely busy at times
I was able to run my own tasks, start my own projects and develop my own relationships (internally as well as externally)
The Company
Hard working and vibrant
There was a good structure in place and a development manager to help you progress. But I was given a lot of freedom too to work in areas that I wanted to
As well as training for my role, events/ days are set up for interns to build a strong career plan
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
I am extremely eager to get into IBM onto the incredible graduate scheme it has to offer.
The Culture
A Facebook group is set up by IBM for interns to begin socialising. Frequent private events are set up where all interns are free to join
Very expensive living in London. However, many work colleagues would frequently take me out for team drinks
Incredible, but expensive (London)
