The Role
The placement was really well structured with an option to extend the contract if you enjoy what you are doing.
My colleagues, and especially my manager really appreciated my work and were grateful for all the hours I put in to my placement.
Whenever I needed help, I would ask my manager and he would answer all the questions I had. We also had a PDM (personal development manager) who would answer all questions I had regarding my career and future.
It depends mainly on the quarter. Some days I was very busy and other days I didn't have much work.
I was given some responsibility which was good as I came up with a community for our team. This made me meet other team members who I don't usually work with.
IBM offered different education courses online or lunch and learn talks. I mainly focused on programming courses and I wanted to learn different languages.
The Company
On some days I was the only one in the office, however those days are limited. When the office was full there was lots of noise and it was fun.
The placement was very well set up by the Foundation Scheme. We had a meeting every 4 months with the rest of the Futures which was a good way to meet everyone and catch up.
They supplied us with different courses.

The Culture
Drinks after work every Thursday. Movies or theaters.
It wasn't too bad as I was based in London.
