The Role
The entire year was incredibly varied and I felt like I was given real responsibility.
Upon asking for extra project work or to help out where I can in other areas I was encouraged to do so and thanked for doing so.
Excellent regular 1 to 1 meetings and 1-1 coaching sessions. I was given a lot of support from my line managers who helped me pick my final year modules in relation to the skills I had developed whilst away on placement, as well as helping me to identify graduate schemes that I would be interested in applying to.
Due to the nature of the role business differed from week to week. At times I could be very busy with day-to-day responsibilities, at other times I could have no day-to-day work to do which was an opportunity to do project work or other tasks. At no point did I have absolutely nothing to do.
First line of support for two systems used across the business and given the lead on a few projects to tackle over the course of the year.
My professional development has been outstanding and I have undertaken a lot of professional skills training (Presenting Skills, Giving and Receiving Feedback, Excel Skills etc.) at the expense of the company. I honestly couldn't ask for more.
The Company
Busy and noisy at times due to the location of my desk (in the main building) but a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Objectives were set at the start of the year and regular placement reviews set-up. Everything went as planned.
I have undertaken a lot of professional development over the last year including a lot of soft skills training at the expense of the company. The learning and professional development opportunities presented to me have been second to none.
Flexi Time

International Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
No out and out graduate scheme but if the opportunity presented itself to return it would be hard to turn down.
The Culture
Depends on how involved you want to get, regular dinners/lunches/drinks were organised for those who wanted to attend.
Due to the area of Cambridge I chose to live in getting around was difficult. Cambridge itself is an expensive place to live.
Not the worst, some lovely city centre pubs and bars. Nothing like university nightlife.
For those that sought such opportunities the Sports & Social Club organised a lot of subsidised events.
