The Role
I acquired numerous job specific skills having been given a specific job title and therefore role in part of a team. It was a friendly, welcoming and exciting environment.
My team were extremely supportive. If I had performed well then they made sure to praise me which was a continual motivator.
We had placement mentors. personally mine was very helpful and I felt that I could approach her at anytime throughout the year. Additionally my team were very supportive.
Working in the advertising industry, there are busy and quiet periods depending on the time of year. Some days had no work, others I had to stay late
I was given a large amount of responsibility which was rewarding and motivating. The harder I worked the more responsibility I was given.
The skilled I have acquired are invaluable for suture studies and employment.
The Company
Great vibe- especially on Fridays!
Regular workshops- didn't find them particularly valuable but they were well organised
There were many opportunities available- courses to sign on to, which I wish I had taken advantage of a little bit more
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
They have made it clear that there are future opportunities however we are to be employed back in at the same level we arrived.
The Culture
My team made an effort to organize social events, we all worked hard and therefore it is important to keep spirits high.
Unless it was a work do, where it was paid for... living in London on £16.000 wasn't great for socialising
There were some nice pubs and restaurants.
As well as numerous social event, there were also Charity and Sporting organisers
