    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • While i did sometimes struggle with some of the work I loved being given that responsibility and my skills only improved more to reduce the amount of time I spent struggling.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, I didn't feel bad asking lots of questions

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given a lot of support when given tasks, the only time I wasn't was in quiet times where I didn't have much to do but this is understandable!

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Again mostly busy but during quiet times it was diffuclt to keep busy with smaller tasks

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was solely responsible for a couple of areas within my team and heavily involved in a lot of projects which was amazing

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel my internship taught me more than my course actually did, how to work with people and how it all relates to the real business world

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • At times it was quiet which was needed but we did have a lot of fun with downtimes which were necessary to keep working really, lots of cat videos shared!

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The work in general was great however we did have a few problems with HR setting up my accounts on the system but mostly fine!

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A lot of support was given to me but I wouldn't call it training, I was learning on the job a lot which I think is better and run through certain aspects with my team members

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    Above 25 days holiday

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • It was a small department and I knew from the beginning that there wasn't a lot of space for hiring, however I did get to work outside of my role on shoots which has definitely given potenial movement into freelance work in that area

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was some however I didn't get too involved with this as a lot of them were a lot younger than me.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Chiswick is an expensive area but weighing up the price and time for commuting elsewhere makes living nearer work the better choice.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There isn't really a nightlife in Chiswick but lots of nice restaurants and pubs

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The Enjoy Work team at Chiswick Park put on some great out of work activities!

    4/5
