The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Intel.
I felt extremely valued by my colleagues and wasn't given menial tasks.
My manager was extremely supportive throughout.
I had a very high workload and was extremely busy - however if I ever had too much my manager would always step in to help so this wasn't an issue.
I was given much more responsibility then I had ever imaged.
The skills I have gained will set me up perfectly for graduate job life.
The Company
Intel has a great open door policy and great working environment.
A great aspect of a placement at Intel is the change over month whereby the old interns stay for a month to train the new interns.
I had the opportunity to attend many courses and had regular 1 on 1 sessions.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I would definitely recommend a placement year at Intel.
The Culture
There is a dedicated intern society for sports and social events.
Fairly cheap.
Not brilliant.
There are lots of societies for interns to get involved with.
