About You
It was my first time working in the pharmacy, so everything is new to me. I enjoy my work experience there.
The experience was valuable because I have tried something new and it will help me to develop my career pathway.
My supervisor explained everything to me about the jobs and also there were online training and some reading for me to do.
I learnt that a good communication skill and inter-personal skill is very important working in a pharmacy because the pharmacy needs to deal with people from all walks of life everyday.
The Company
The company has planned well, so on the first day there was a introduction for me. Afterwards I got chance to try out different works.
Everyone was friendly and warmly welcomed me. They were always willing to help me when I had difficulties.
The time was limited but I did a lot of online training to know more about the job and the company structure.
Since I stayed with the company from 9-5 I understand how busy it would be and I was able to find out the job duties of different people in the pharmacy team.
The online training allowed me to understand the background of the company and the induction on the first day allowed me to understand the aim and goal of the company.
Everything Else
Since I live near the company, the travelling didn't cost a lot and because it was my first work experience, I think getting voluntary experience is more than enough.
I was able to chat with other people in the pharmacy team, but the shop was always busy, so I didn't get chance to know a lot about their job.
My work experience was very short term, so I was not too sure about networking ro social event opportunities.
I wasn't sure abou the activities that they get involved but I was told that there are trade union that they could join.
It was an unforgettable experience and it is always great to find out the job duties of the pharmacy team and it will help students to gain an insight and help them to develop their skills.
