The Role
My internship with Barclays Corporate was both challenging and rewarding. For this reason I thoroughly enjoyed stretching myself to the best of my ability and getting the rewards at the end of it.
I was fortunate to be placed in a very welcoming team of Hospitality & Leisure. They were brilliant mentors and I still keep in contact to this date.
I was always involved on tasks and new operations across the business. It was the perfect balance to develop my skills whilst also aiding the company.
I will be forever grateful for the skills training and investments Barclays Corporate give their interns. I acquired skills I will use for the rest of my career.
The Company
The atmosphere was lively. Members of staff were always involved in commercial discussions about current financial markets, and there were ample opportunities to get involved in fun events across the team.
The organisation of the internship was phenomenal. I was always challenged throughout, but there was always opportunities to get more involved. The Campus Recruitment team at Barclays Corporate were fundamental to this success. Very well organised.
It was clear from the outset that Barclays Corporate were investing in the next generation of future leaders. As an intern you are valued as an important staff member, this was a major factor in personal development.

Company Parties/Events
I am thoroughly excited about the prospect of returning to Barclays Corporate for the Graduate Programme.
The Culture
The positions on the internship are limited, competition is high between individuals, but there was a consistent team atmosphere throughout. We enjoyed several events laid on by Barclays, all of which were beneficial in creating a good social scene.
London. Expensive.
London hosts a great vibrancy for a work/life balance.
This was a brilliant aspect of the internship. There were countless opportunities to put your name down for activities. Fundraisers, sports, team socials.
