About You
Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
The people we met at the company were all very friendly and helpful when we were there.
We each shadowed a trainee for a day, and were able to talk to various members of the company and ask as many questions as we liked.
There were a few hands-on workshops with role play that were conducted for us, and this gave me insight into the type of work that goes on at the firm.
The Company
The programme was well thought out, and managed to cover many important things while not being too rushed or hassled.
There was a very positive vibe throughout.
There were workshops, but given that it was only a two-day introduction, in depth development cannot be expected. However, we were given personal attention as we wear each paired with a trainee to shadow.
There was an introductory talk, and also many chances to chat with current employees and see them at work to get a better idea of what working at the firm would be like
Generally, getting to talk to current employees was a great help.
Everything Else
We were reimbursed for travel costs, and accommodation was taken care of.
Meal times were good times to speak to current employees.
We got to visit the special exhibition, "Bailey's Stardust" at the National Portrait Gallery.
Most employees I met were involved in pro bono work.
A good way to get a feel for the firm.
