  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I enjoyed every single moment and I DO miss it a LOT! It is really hard to go back to university after such an amazing year!

    • I always respect and always been motivated by people with such experience and broad knowledge! Amazing people, year, company....

    • They were always supportive and making their best to let students explore different departments within the company

    • Although I was busy it has given me best experience ever- has shaped me into more focus and determined person!

    • I am please that my manager trusted me and let me prove to her and the rest of the company that I am capable to coping with any work/project that I was assigned!

    • It has been a great learning curve and helped me to pick up skills outside my curriculum that will be very crucial in my future career.

    • It was a guided path and exactly what was required.

    • I have sat in exams to gain qualifications all paid for by the company and spent countless hours with colleagues across the business learning and developing personal and technical skills

    • There is a high chance that in the future I will be employed back at Microsoft with the foundations already set in place.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • The social scene was brilliant with events organised regularly and everyone meeting up from across the country

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Fairly reasonable but as I am from the 'North' things weren't as cheap as there.

    • Good there are plenty of places to go and lots to do.
