The Role
to begin with I did struggle to learn all the rules and regulations but once I got settled I started to really enjoy myself
colleagues were coming to me asking for support on projects and valuing my opinion and input
had regular catch ups with my manager to discuss progress and goals
I was not very busy to start with, but I was allowed to choose to work on more projects to increase my workload
I was allowed to lead campaigns and make crucial financial business decisions
I have learnt many skills and mainly improved transferable skills. I have gained a lot of valuable experience that has helped me gain another internship.
The Company
good balance of fun and work
some projects were set up very well and organised. Although there were times where I didn't have a lot of work and had to find my own
I went on many UK work trips all funded by my company. I was allowed to visit many customers and undertake training to improve skills
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
It is a good company, very supportive, many opportunities to 'work your way up' and experience a range of roles
The Culture
there were about ten other interns so there was opportunity to have social nights with them. Colleagues tended to be a bit older so did not socialise outside work with them very much
can be a fairly expensive area. It is near London so can be expensive, however depending on the area there are much cheaper areas
few pubs, near London night life though which is great but expensive
I did not come across much
