About You
It was a really fun experience - never a dull moment.
Everyone was very helpful and encouraging.
During the workshops there was always a trainee/associate/partner on hand to offer help, especially when we were confused.
I was able to gain insight into what working at a city law firm would be like, and was able to learn more about what the corporate department in particular does. I learnt and developed negotiating skills, and was able to identify which interests were important and which were not. During the ADR workshop I was able to develop confrontational as well as reconciliatory skills.
The Company
It was very well organised with a range of activities that were both educational and enjoyable.
It was extremely fun, I enjoyed it thoroughly
During the negotiation and ADR workshops I felt that the firm was really dedicated to educate us and develop our skills in those areas, which I found very helpful in gaining insight.
I was able to shadow a trainee which was extremely helpful as I was able to ask as many questions as I want. I was also able to learn more about what an average day with the firm is like and it was excellent.
It was very good. We were able to ask all the departments questions and during the shadowing I was able to see how people at the firm interacted with each other. During the networking event I was told about the extra curricular activities of the firm and it was nice to be told how people at the firm were sociable and friendly.
Everything Else
Travel expenses were reimbursed
Yes, we went to an excellent exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery which was followed by an evening of drinks and canapés at Covent Garden on the first day which was an excellent opportunity to meet a lot of trainees and partners. They also hung around during meal times which was nice since we got to speak to them after workshops and learn more about the work they do.
Very good - extremely enjoyable and not too formal so I felt very comfortable approaching and speaking to others.
Yes - was told about the choir numerous times. We were also introduced to the pro bono work that the firm engages in as well.
Yes, definitely - such a valuable experience!
