The Role
I loved it, definitely preferred it to Uni. Great people and working environment, and I got to work on some genuinely interesting projects.
Everyone is really friendly, and fun to chat too. They helped me as and when needed.
The support from my line managers was fantastic. For the most part I was trusted to get on with work but had no issues with asking for help or support when faced with something I had not done before.
I never felt like there was nothing to do, and it was easy to go and ask people for work when my projects were at a stage that didn't require much of my input.
Was allowed the freedom to 'get on with work' and deliver tasks with only the necessary input from my superiors. At no point did it feel like 'step by step' instructions were being handed to me to complete tasks like some other placements.
Learnt a lot more useful skills than just book work from University.
The Company
Quite fun yet hard working.
Very well structured first few months to account for training etc. It 'just worked' for the rest of the year :)
I have been sent on many external courses. Participated in some great workshops and activities that I wasn't necessarily required for, but because they were seen as a great opportunity and a learning experience for my personal development
Subsidised Canteen
Little dfficult but If a position was available, I would not think twice about applying!
The Culture
Living in Liverpool meant a great social life.
Relatively cheap.
Unbelievable. Liverpool is the best city.
Lots of sports clubs in the area/ within the company.
