    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I was involved in a variety of tasks, which were very enjoyable and challenging at the same time. While working on these tasks, I was given a lot of support and training, which greatly helped me finishing my tasks on time

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone in the department was very friendly and helpful. Whenever I had any questions, the person I asked would take time to explain it to me

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My project managers were very flexible and tailored their management style towards my preferred working style, i.e. more independent working time and reporting at the end of the week

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was quite busy during office hours, there was some overtime, but generally it is balanced between work and life.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was involved in mostly small projects, which means a lot of responsibility was given to me

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • This internship provides much valuable experience and knowledge, which gives me a clear head start in my career

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office uses a hotdesking system, which means you would usually sit with new people. This provides a lot of opportunities to network and learn more about the firm experience

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The central HR team made a couple of mistakes during the internship, like forgetting to invite us to the development day, etc.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We were provided with plenty of support and training, to ensure that we would be able to complete the tasks given to us. We went through a 3-day offsite training to learn all the basics skills and knowledge about the industry

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Even though all 3 interns in our department did our best, we weren't given a job offer or a fast-track option

    2/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We all met at Northampton during the off site training, so there were a lot of contacts cross-department wise.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It's London. so the pubs and restaurants around work are quite expensive. Further out, they're quite ok but it is harder to gather everyone.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There are endless places to go since it is London.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were socials every Friday, a couple of leaving drinks, the AGM/Away Day, exam results drinks and qualification drinks. Too many opportunities to socialise and get to know people personally.
