The Role
it was mor office based than i had hoped it would be which made it a bit boring
they asked me to look at any work they thought would be have interest and used me wherever possible which did may me feel valued
there was not a lot of support or guidance given i was just left to get on with things by myself
it depended on who was in the office some members of the team involved me and kept me busy more than others
no real responsibility for things that would be crucial to the company but i was left to organise all the promotional material that they previously just had in a pile
i did not really develop any new skills but the experience of being in a real engineering office within a team in the industry was really useful to get a taste of
The Company
the atmosphere was pretty flat but it was friendly and open so not intimidating
well it was not a specified placement and so i organised what and how it would work
the placement was only meant for the time i was there and i knoew that from the outset they did not invest anything in me but i feel that if i were to apply for a job within atkins it would stand me in good stead
very appealing as it is a multinational multidisciplinary company with so many opportunities within the company
The Culture
there were no other student there on placement so not really applicable
i was working while living at thome so the costs were the same as they would have been in that period
not applicable
no there were no opportunities highlighted to me
