The Role
The year was extremely enjoyable! It passed too quickly!!
The closer team and the wider level of colleagues that I worked with always made me feel like what I was doing was important. With the work I was doing, I was a real member of the team.
I was never afraid to ask for help when it was needed. Furthermore, my manager would repeatedly ask if I was okay, especially when given a new task.
How busy I was varied from day-to-day and was often unpredictable when it would be a busy period.
You are given real responsibilities, but are never expected to do more than you're capable of.
There is a huge variety of eLearning courses that could be done. My manager allowed time for personal development in my working week.
The Company
The team are very friendly and it was fun going into work!
Sometimes it took a bit too long to get answers from HR, but the previous students were very helpful before arriving at the placement.
Courses were made available to me when I wanted to further my learning.

The company as a whole has a relaxed atmosphere and encourages internal promotions and for placement students to apply for jobs after graduation.
The Culture
With roughly 60 placement students, it was easy to make friends with other people my age with similar interests. Furthermore my colleagues were always happy to go to the pub after work.
Being on the outskirts of London (in an area highly populated with commuters) a lot of the prices were quite expensive. On the other hand it would cost less than £5 to get in and out of London via the tube.
As we are a stones throw from London there are a lot of opportunities!
There is a student charity team as well as a student football team. Furthermore as a student community we often did group activities such as bowling, sporting events etc.
