The Role
After an initial struggle to get used to working life, my placement improved. I become much more comfortable and began to enjoy work.
North Highland place a huge amount of effort to make their employees feeling valued.
I had a direct CM who oversaw my development and an engagement lead on every project who looked after my needs day to day.
This differed from project to project and depended on the manager in question.
A huge amount of responsibility. Teams on the project were small and for this reason we got a lot of exposure to senior members of the client.
I have learnt a huge amount that I will take back to university. The skills are applicable to any job I might do in the future.
The Company
We had ping pong, pick and mix and a pet tortoise alongside regular 'action days' and evening events.
The intern year is ever changing as the company grows but as a result of our feedback they are planning on introducing more structure.
I did over 10 training courses in my time at NH. They invest a lot in their employees development.
