The Role
I found that during my stay at IBM there was always someone at hand who could either help me or point me in the direction of someone else if they could not. My colleagues here were both supportive and friendly throughout, so this in turn allowed me to settle into the workplace role more quickly.
At IBM I found a lot of the time I would get a heavy amount of work across the space of a few weeks rather than throughout the year. However, I found this always kept me on my toes and those periods where I didn't have that much on gave me a chance to plan and organise for the upcoming weeks.
The Company
I found IBM to be very thorough and well prepared in terms of the information provided to me before and during the placement year.

The Culture
I was based at London South Bank with over 100 interns and so there was an impressive social aspect in and outside the office.
As it's London, it was never going to be cheap! However there are very nice and lively places to go nearby in terms of eating, socialising etc.
