The Role
The placement was interesting, relavent to my course and challenging. The working environment between other students and full timers was fantastic
I felt valued by my colleagues
My supervisor was very good at ensuring I had enough work. Also he was always available for support
I always found something to do, but rarely did I feel I had too much to do at once.
My supervisor was largely responsible for the project but I was trusted with the laboratory work required to support the project
Very competent at lab work now which is relevant to my degree
The Company
Everyone got on very well with each other
Very well.. I had a clear project defined from the outset which I worked on all the time, with occasional support of other projects when needed
Very good - Lubrizol like to ensure their students are well supported and trained suitably.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Depending on where you are in a degree the company often offers final year students employment with them. Other students are also encouraged to apply after their degree is finished
The Culture
Lots of activities available
subsidised by the company made activities cheapish
Decent nightlife in Derby
lots of activities run by the Sports and Social club
