    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I worked in an office alongside two colleagues who I got along with very well. It was a comfortable working atmosphere, and we often listened to music whilst working through the day.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement was overall very well structured and I would always know what my responsibilites were and what was required of me. The first month consisted of a handover period with the previous placement student which was very effective in getting me settled into the role. I was assigned an industrial supervisor for the year, who had many years experience including actually doing a placement with the same company. We would have regular 1:1 meetings to discuss my progress and ensure that I was comfortable with my projects and workload.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

I also had the opportunity to go on training courses including those to develop presentation skills, which will be extremely valuable when presenting university work in my final year.
