The Role
A great place to work, challenging work but you always had the support of others. Also got the chance to participate in several events outside of work and attended training courses to develop more skills.
I feel I was valued by all my colleagues and treated as an equal although I was on placement.
Throughout the year you receive good advice, there is always someone to talk to when your unhappy and your manager generally is experienced in taking on placement students or young professionals.
In my role you make what you can of it but the workload will be varied. Sometimes you will be very busy and other times you will have very little to do. This is due to busy times within the industry but using your own initiative you can generally have a continuous workflow.
Throughout placement your responsibility increases gradually, but that is very dependent on whether your manager thinks you are able to take more valuable work on.
I feel that because I have had the opportunity to go on several courses and events I have picked up many skills that I otherwise wouldn't have. I was also supported by many people in the company with my dissertation, which will hopefully be beneficial in the future.
The Company
In the office where I worked it was fairly quiet, but generally you have a group of people that you know and can chat to.
I feel that the placements are well structure and the placement events throughout the year are well organised and very useful. However, my placement was not as structured as others and had to use my own initiative to get involved with projects.
The company invested a lot of time and money in developing my skills attending several courses including skills workshops and sales training.
Flexi Time

Company Parties/Events

Working from home
I feel that the company respects its placement students and would like then to return so help you out to increase your chances. The graduate scheme is also renowned for being very good in comparison to others.
The Culture
There was a good social scene amongst but this was due to the group of IP's at the time and not the company. Living in London I was also slightly out of the IP community since most of the IP's lived in Reading but it is only a 30mins journey from London.
I worked in London so the cost of living is very high compared to most places but being in the capital means there is so much to do. I had a great time down here and I am hoping to return to London after my final year.
London has an amazing Nightlife. There are so many different places that suit all. I've been to karaoke bars, ping pong bars and bars that you wouldn't find anywhere else in the country.
I was able to join a football team and get involved with many activities out of work hours.
