The Role
The placement year in Fujitsu was a really enjoyable experience. Great chance to get my head around how business world operate in practice, to network and grow as an individual
My team members in Fujitsu were all very helpful and supportive. They were all very down to earth and still professional. I was always recognised for my effort and achievemnts which is and extremely rewarding feeling
I was given support by my manager within the whole placement year. We were keeping up to date with regular individual meeting, at least once a week, and team meetings.
Workload varied depending the days of the month. I was having some really intense weeks as well as some chilled once. However the workload was always balanced as I could help a colleague with taking some of their objectives when having the time or ask for support during the busy weeks
When I first joined I thought we would be mainly dealing with hock task as we were only placement students. I was really pleassntly surprised to realize we were given actual responsible job. I was doing reports on a daily basis presented to some very senior people. Knowing that you effort is being appreciated is a wonderful feeling
I got a further understanding on how theory is in line with practice. By having your hands on experience you can really appreciate the importance of your degree and the modules studied within.
The Company
Great balance between professional and friendly environment. Fridays were always days when fun never stopped!
Very well organised, with events and workshops set always well in advance
We were given online training sessions and training materials within the entire placement year. We were working closly with graduates students who were helping us to get further idea on the next steps after the placement. There were various workshops organised on monthly basis. Every placement student was assigned to a manager and a mentor who were supporting us during the entire year.

The Culture
Great placement community. I made a lot of friends which I will keep in touch with even after the placement
I was placed in bracknel and in terms of cost everything was average
Not a great nightlife in Bracknell but as Reading and London are really close, there is a choice for when going out.
Unfortunatelly not much in Bracknell
