The Role
My placement was varied and interesting, providing me with many skills and experiences.
In most departments I worked in I felt valued by my colleagues and was not treated like an intern.
My manager offered a lot of support and guidance and allowed me to complete work with different areas in order to find out what I wanted to do.
It depended on which area I was in but usually when work is slow you can find another project to do. Some areas I was in were very busy but it was never too much work.
It varied between projects but I was involved with projects for senior managers and new vehicle launches.
I have learnt many skills during my time at Jaguar Land Rover which will assist me in the future.
The Company
It varied between offices but most had a good atmosphere
The placement was well organised.
I was given a lot of training whenever I needed it. There is a lot of training available and you only need your managers approval to go on the training once you've requested it.
Flexi Time
Above 25 days holiday
You undergo a further, smaller assessment centre whilst on placement to return on the grad scheme.
The Culture
There were around 20 undergraduates all living in the same place which led to a good social scene. Within departments there are organised meals and activities.
Coventry, Warwick and Leamington Spa are where most people live, it is the sort of price you would expect nationwide really (cheaper than London).
Nightlife in Leamington Spa and Coventry is good as there a lot of students in the area
There were a lot of opportunities to get involved with activities and the company give you an amount of money every year to do activities that aren't work related but assist your development.
