The Role
Every day was engaging and a challenge
I felt like a valued part of the team I work in. I was a direct DR of several area leads.
Everyone around was always friendly and supportive. Despite Line and Assignment Manager changes (business growth). Communication in regards to my own development was suprisingly always behond my expectations. Everyone seemed to be insync.
I learned value Life skills in regards to time management in this particular space. The role is intense and will push you if you are willing. This meant I was oftern guilty of working long days (despite concerns of my assignment Manager). I personally found this challenging and engaging.
I was reponsible of delivering high quality packs to our sectors COO. I was also responsible for candidate progression and I was a spokes person for one our of Recrutiment Partners.
I came from a technical background. The placement itself, although not being technical as such provided me with valueable communication and development skills. Which I feel will bridge many more skills for life within the workplace.
The Company
Fridays were quiet. But in general people were friendly, I even got my own Desk!
This is something which I noticed got rapidly better as months went by. Main critism would be the lack of information about my Business Support position (as it was a placement in the defence sector, some information had to be restricted) and in addition to this my handover was quite brief. I actually learned more by making my own mistakes early in to the placement. Saying that my development was monitored monthly, we as IPs we all included in team building excercizes and business based trips. And support was always on hand when we needed it.
a Large scale IT company that specilises in B2B with a Japanese management ethos. What could be better than that?

If we perform well we get instant access to the Graduate assessment centre. IF we pass this then there are many areas to choose from as a Grad and lots of paths we could go down. A lot of people senior inside the company actually originated from the Grad programme.
The Culture
All the Graduates, IPS and apprentises eat lunch together and work together as part of our Young Development projects. Also we had many social events.
