  • The work you do is highly valued by your team.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The one month handover period when you start your placement is the time where you will learn everything you need to know about the role however there is always support and guidance available after this period if you need it.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There was never a time when I didn't have anything to do. There would be days when there weren't enough hours in the day & days when you were a bit quieter however there is always something to be doing.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility with the role I was in. Sometimes it was quite daunting but great experience.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The time management and compute skills that I have developed will be really important to assist in the rest of my degree and beyond.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I was based in HP's head office therefore there were always lots of people around.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The training period at the start of my placement was really well organised.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were a lot of online training courses we could carry out (for example, excel training). We had a meeting towards the beginning of the year to discuss my objectives. I then reviewed these with my manager mid way through my placement (and will be doing once more at the end). There are also opportunities to get experience in other parts of the business by shadowing people for a couple of days.
