    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great environment, with a variety of work.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • People were eager to stress that the work you did added value and was necessary.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • You are assigned a counselor during your internship, and mine provided me with a lot of guidance and help. Managers were sometimes very busy and struggled to brief you in detail, but overall, it wasn't much of a problem.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Enough work was sent my way: My department was very busy, but people took time to direct work to interns.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I felt I have shouldered enough responsibility, and found myself taking initiative on a lot of tasked beyond what was asked of me. However there is scope for interns to be stretched more.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I developed a great understanding of the firm, and work that is conducted for clients.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Upbeat atmosphere: there are many projects being undertaken at present so people were always on the move. Very few people were on the bench.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Overall it was pretty methodical.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A lot of time and resources were sent my way, given how little time some managers had. For example, I conducted a Partner shadowing day, which was hugely beneficial.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • A very good chance to be fast tracked for a graduate position.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Whole host of social events organised throughout the internship.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London can never be cheap.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Fantastic as always in London.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
