    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Given information on Ernst & Young, network, and most importantly prepare and present presentations to a client. It was great fun and well worth my time.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Good. Very were nearly as many Ernst & Young employees working with us as there were people on the Insight Day, so it felt as a lot of effort had been given in on their part

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • They gave us the gist of what had to be done but let us do some unassisted teamwork on how to get it done. Then they told each of us what they thought we did very well on and what we could improve on

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Giving us feedback on how well we did on the tasks I found really useful as I now know how I can improve what I did next time. Also when we used the fire, water and earth cards it was intresting to see what kind of person you were.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • While we were initially unaware of the structure, it was clear that Ernst & Young knew exactly what would be happen, and we moved seamlessly from one project to another.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • It wasn't anything like what I expected it to be, everyone was so friendly and the people running the insight day made you feel very relaxed.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Yes, there was constant evaluation of us which was given to us at the end of the day, which was really helpful.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • There wasn't really a lot of information given about having a full time job, a lot was given about internships and placements, which would be next step anyways.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Quite useful, we were able to talk to some employees during breaks, who gave us a great insight into the company culture.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • 5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Travel allowances for train tickets

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Some, mainly during the lunch break. However, there wasn't real planning for this. There was to mention though significant networking with the employees we worked with.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There was a good social event for the students present, but not necessarily as much with employees, other than the ones who we were working with.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • A lot of volunteering opportunities and sport activities for employees

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes, definitely. It's a great way to explore the firm and industry. Should definitely apply for it !!!
