About You
Really enjoyable. Great opportunity to informally interact with the firm and other students.
Felt valued the entire time.
Always had someone to talk to, if need be.
The focus on leaderships skills lends itself well to many different functions, whether they are in a corporate setting or elsewhere.
The Company
Had a schedule for the entire 4 days. Well-structured, but not painfully so.
Never felt as if I was being directly assessed. As much about learning as it was about the facilitators getting to know us.
Considering how few people (48 total, 24 per academy) are selected, the firm focused heavily on making sure we had the best experience possible.
The academy's purpose was not to model what working at the firm would be like, rather its purpose was to provide us with an opportunity to develop ourselves.
Had a great time talking with all the employees and getting to know what they are like as people. Definitely can appreciate the culture.
Everything Else
Reimbursed for travel expenses.
Had the opportunity to network with employees over drinks, and get their feedback about our performance.
Evenings were all about social event opportunities. Good time to network and have some fun.
Heard some interesting stories about activities that employees do outside of work.
100%. Great opportunity to meet fellow students interested in similar career paths, and to have the chance to reflect on career skills.
