The Role
Really enjoyable experience. Great people, structure to the placement and great company.
I felt valued for the work that I completed
Any help I needed was always forthcoming
I always had enough to do every day, and could get additional ad hoc tasks if things were slower.
As much as could be expected for a company to give to someone who's new to the working world and has less experience.
As well as on the job skills learnt, fundamental life skills were also developed.
The Company
Really enjoyable - going in to work was never daunting.
Very, very effectively run programme, and is continuously improved.
They provided as much training and invested as much as could be expected for a group of people (interns) who essentially are only here for a short period of time.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Based on how well you do, you can get offered one. An official graduate scheme would be great though.
The Culture
Very good - the perfect comprimise between university and the working world.
My rent was £250 per month, and nights out were never an issue with the salary you receive.
Always something going on, with access to other places (London, Milton Keynes, Harpenden, etc.)
Sports, cultural and charitable events were always available.
